FAQs about CBD Massage
Since we started offering CBD topicals as an add-on to your massage last month, we’ve been getting lots of questions. Here are some questions that have come up and our honest answers about CBD!
Is CBD legal?
Yes, all hemp products are legal in all 50 states as long as they do not contain more than .3% THC.
Is there THC in these products?
Nope! These CBD/CBG products are made with isolates that are 99% pure and have no THC.
Can I get high from CBD/CBG?
No, they are non-euphoric compounds.
What is CBD and CBG?
They’re both cannabinoids – biologically active compounds. These compounds interact with cannabinoid receptors in the nervous system. CBD is found in larger quantities in the cannabis plant, but works synergistically with CBG.
What can CBD/CBG help with?
Studies suggest CBD has anti-inflammatory properties and can help manage anxiety disorders. For massage, the anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce pain associated with injury, spasm, pain, or any other inflammatory issue. The anti-anxiety properties can help with the overall relaxation and nervous system down-regulation we are trying to achieve.
Where do you source your CBD/CBG from?
We are utilizing the CBD/CBG Super Salve from Susan's CBD - a woman owned company in Colorado that lab-tests the effectiveness of their products, which are strongest on the market- the CBD/CBG Super Salve contains 2,000 mg of CBD per oz and 500 mg of CBG per oz.
Is CBD safe during pregnancy?
We don’t know yet—there aren’t any studies on pregnant people or babies, and not even enough on the general population to make good educated guesses either way. So we err on the side of caution, and don’t use CBD products for our pregnant clients. This article explains this in more detail.
