Clients who menstruate may experience periods that are slow to start, heavy, lengthy or uncomfortable, with symptoms such as fatigue, localized cramping, general body aches, headaches, and bloating. The intake process should determine if the client may be trying to get pregnant, what their monthly cycle is like (similar in length between periods, length of period, which day is heaviest, accompanying symptoms) to help rule out any contraindications and determine whether a referral is necessary. In this course we will:

*Identify common symptoms/complaints of clients experiencing reproductive/hormonal pathologies such as dysmenorrhea, PCOS, perimenopause, etc.

*Identify contraindications and cautions for reproductive/hormonal pathologies

*Identify session goals for clients with symptoms associated with reproductive / hormonal pathologies

*Demonstrate proficiency in treatment planning for treating clients with reproductive / hormonal pathologies

*Demonstrate proficiency in massage therapy applications for clients with reproductive / hormonal pathologies, including integrative approaches (Swedish, Tui Na, Shiatsu, acupressure, hydrotherapy, aroma therapy, etc.)

*Identify recommendations for self-care for clients with reproductive / hormonal pathologies

Upon successful completion of the entire workshop, participants will receive:

• NYS and NCBTMB 8 Approved Continuing Education Units for LMTs

• Certificate of Completion

Certificate Policy: The initial certificate you receive after completing all requirements is included in your tuition. Replacement certificates are available for $15 each.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund (minus $50 registration fee) if registration is canceled two weeks prior to the training. If registration is canceled within less than two weeks but at least 72 hours prior to the training with a documented reason (medical documentation or other emergency), partial refund will be allowed. Partial refunds / class credit for cancellations within 72 hours of the training with a documented reason will be determined on a case by case basis. Cancellations within 72 hours of the training without a documented reason will not be refunded.
